Future connected, autonomous, and electrified industrial vehicles – how E/E design and software will change
The presentation discusses challenges in industrial vehicles E/E development as the vehicles of the future will be more and more electrified, connected and autonomous. As traditional industrial vehicles typically include low-efficiency hydraulic systems and are rather manually operated, electrification and autonomous features offer huge opportunities for improving safety, efficiency and energy consumption, but require rethinking of the electrical and electronic system architecture. The presentation will cover solutions and design considerations for various system components such as electric actuators, sensors, high-calculation computers and electromobility system components. Seamless integration solutions with these main systems components and vehicle control systems will be also discussed.
