Smart vision processing unit for intelligent camera systems

As a development partner for OEMs and suppliers, Solectrix is involved in numerous technology projects such as digital mirror replacement systems for trucks. The company’s new Smart eXtensible Vision Processing Unit (SXVPU) platform, to be presented at iVT Expo 2023, was developed based on customer requests for increasingly intelligent camera systems. It is a comprehensive framework for Ethernet-based imaging that provides a reliable base for systems and accelerates product and application development.
The system bridges the gap between totally centralized image processing and typical smart cameras. It covers hardware-related issues of reliability, availability and longevity and offers low-latency H.264/265-based video data streaming of up to four cameras, and zone architecture with standard automotive cameras. It is ideal for viewing and vision applications for mobile automation and is flexible, robust and safeguarded.
The SXVPU platform is optimized for processing data from various sensors, enabling comprehensive sensor fusion for precise data acquisition and processing. It can be used in automation, collision avoidance systems, machine control, and monitoring of construction sites and work environments. It supports the integration of neural networks and machine learning models for efficient execution of complex tasks such as object recognition, process monitoring and machine control.
