iVT Expo is an international exhibition that showcases nothing but the latest and next-generation components, suppliers and technologies.
No full vehicles are on show: iVT Expo only showcases the components, services and technologies from Europe and beyond that go into making the next generation of industrial vehicles.
iVT Expo conveniently brings together: all the latest new materials; new engine technologies, including electric motors and hybrid applications; new control systems; sensors; testing and validation services and technologies, from durability rigs to EMC and NDT technologies; cabin equipment; technologies required for operator-free/driverless vehicles; and innovative ideas that will help manufacturers of industrial vehicles ultimately improve product design, efficiency and thus sales – all under one roof!
Vehicle categories covered by iVT Expo include anything from off-road loaders, mining equipment and diggers, to tractors, cranes and lift-trucks. In short, technologies and services for every class of industrial vehicle are on display.
There is also a specialized pay-to-attend conference that features streams on: autonomous industrial vehicle technology; electric & hybrid industrial vehicle technology; and cab design, controls, ergonomics and HMI. Over 80 experts will address the critical trends shaping future vehicle development.
The exhibition, which is closed to the general public, is completely free-to-attend. Register now for your free entry pass.
Autonomous Solutions Inc
Synopsis: ASI has been developing autonomous industrial vehicles for 20 years in markets including agriculture, mining, and construction. The presentation will share the painfully learned lessons on that journey and case studies of projects in which they were learned. These lessons will touch on topics including hardware, software, system integration, testing, validation, change management and commissioning.

Volvo Autonomous Solutions
Synopsis: Drawing on decades of technology expertise from across the Volvo Group, the newly formed Volvo Autonomous Solutions (VAS) has been established to accelerate the development, commercialization and sales of autonomous transport solutions. This presentation explains how the combined force of the Group’s dedicated vehicle technology is driving customer solutions on and off road. From the Group’s first self-driving mining truck and 5G-operated remote-controlled wheel loader through to the world’s first emission-free quarry and now to the commercial pilot of an autonomous electric hauler, VAS is leading the industry with a total autonomous transport package.
Dongwook (Derek) Lee
executive vice president
Synopsis: This presentation will give an overall background of Concept-X, through its digital solutions for the outdoor smart factory. It will also outline the core technologies of Concept-X (X-Center, autonomous excavator, autonomous wheel loader) and what the next steps will be.
global technical lead and senior technologist
Ricardo UK Ltd
Synopsis: Industrial vehicles pose a challenge to the engineer at a system level. It is imperative to decarbonize operations while remaining economically sustainable and clean. Coupled with challenging operational needs, a flexible approach to both use and storage of onboard energy is required. This paper reviews options we are assessing and how they might expedite adoption of environmentally beneficial technology.
market segment director
Danfoss Power Solutions
Synopsis: Electrification of construction machinery can offer a significant positive impact on productivity, operating cost and the environment. So why aren't we seeing many more electric construction machines in the field? The presentation will describe Danfoss's strategy to support our customers in overcoming the challenges of electrifying construction machinery. It will illustrate how we are utilizing the different technologies and capabilities in our organization to develop electrification solutions. The presented use case is a 13t wheel loader that was converted to a fully electric machine at our Application Development Center.
software and functions engineer
AVL Software and Functions GmbH
Synopsis: As electrification hits the automotive industry, not only passenger cars are affected. Trucks and off-road applications are explored for alternative drives as well. Here, no high speeds have to be achieved, and most of the time machines with high torque are required. AVL will give an overview of current developments in this area, including challenges for these applications and machine types, and solutions to achieve the best torque densities.
technical manager - terminals
Terberg Benschop BV
Synopsis: Terberg Benschop BV has been manufacturing electrically powered terminal tractors since 2012 and noticed the need for optimum range while maintaining comfortable working conditions for the operator as well as optimally temperature controlled battery packs. To enhance our product offering and achieve these goals, for our third-generation EV terminal tractors we have partnered with Ymer for the TMS (thermal management system). Ymer Technology is a specialist in complex cooling systems and has developed a fully integrated TMS system for EV machines. Both companies will share the challenges and opportunities during the development of a tailored and integrated TMS for an EV-terminal tractor as well as the machine and TMS system behavior and performance based on intensive testing.
