Bucher Hydraulics will showcase its universal hydraulic power-on-demand drive system for the electrification of mobile machinery.
Electric mobile working machines are increasingly in demand, but the high volumes are still the classic, diesel-driven machines. Manufacturers want to use as many common parts as possible, so initially they just replaced the diesel engine with a constant-speed electric motor. This has already proved to be unfeasible due to noise generation. The universal, hydraulic power-on-demand solution from Bucher Hydraulics also replaces the swivel pump with a fixed displacement pump and an additional hydraulic block. The current volume flow requirement of the machine is measured and made available using the lowest pump speed possible. This is the key to quiet, energy-optimized operation. Information on the application’s current flow requirement is not necessary. This means that the rest of the hydraulic system can stay as it is without sacrificing the benefits of electric drives.
The modular system includes various performance classes and, in addition to the AX pump for high performance, also external and internal gear pumps, thus covering a wide range of applications.
