Joachim Stieler

Joachim has over 30 years of experience in B2B market intelligence and consulting for international technology companies. He started his industrial career at Brown, Boveri & Cie in the field of test bench technology. Before founding Stieler Technologie & Marketing-Beratung in the year 1995, he held leading positions with a daughter company of Sandoz AG (head of consulting branch Germany/Switzerland) and at Prognos AG (innovation and technology consulting, head of the engineering and automotive branch). Joachim studied at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and INSEAD Business School (Fontainebleau). He completed his studies with a degree as a graduate industrial engineer (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.). He also holds a professorship at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University.

What kind of business opportunities do agricultural autonomous machines and robots offer suppliers?

There is a great deal of momentum in autonomous tractors. On the one hand, existing tractors can be autonomized using appropriate technology, for example, the John Deere 8R Series, or autonomous tractors without an operator's cab will be developed, such as the AgXeed or the RO 1 concept from Horsch.
