Knott will present its new GB-EMB75 unit, an electromechanical sliding brake caliper for off-highway vehicles including sweeper machines, municipal transporters and airport ground support vehicles.
Knott sees the development of new alternative brake solutions as key to the electrification of a range of vehicles. The GB-EMB75 does not require any hydraulic or pneumatic actuation, making it a plug-and-play solution for any future electric vehicles. Capable of providing a normal clamping force of 3,500N with a time to full locking of under 90ms, it only consumes 200W of power in operation.
