Innovative filtration solutions for the fuel cell
Hengst

Hengst is exhibiting several products at the show. The innovative Blue.iox ion exchanger provides particularly effective protection with minimal maintenance. The modular range offers various sizes that cover the requirements of smaller systems as well as fuel cell systems for heavy-duty, stationary and maritime applications.

The Blue.maxx fuel filter is suitable for all currently used fuels and those that are likely to be used in the future, whether fossil, biogenic or synthetic. The system is modular to meet the diverse requirements of the commercial vehicle and off-highway sectors, and can be quickly and easily adapted to different applications as an OE or aftermarket solution.

The Blue.on sustainable filtration concept is available in a new, robust design for heavy-duty applications. An alternative to spin-on filters, it can be replaced without tools and easily applied to an existing spin-on interface, creating 25% less weight and 90% less waste.

Hengst’s specially developed cathode air filter system features a multilayer structure and reliably protects fuel cell components against particles and harmful gases. Suitable for everything from trucks and buses to the on- and off-highway segments, stationary systems and industrial applications, the filters are robust and easy to service.

The company also offers a novel separator module for anode gas recirculation to ensure correct water management. An innovative valve configuration of the purge and drain valve combines the functions of water droplet separation and gas discharge.

Hengst’s innovative active ventilation system counteracts the risk of ignition in hydrogen engines by minimizing the hydrogen concentration in the crankcase. It is part of the company’s overall hydrogen engine filter concept, which also features an electrically driven Blue.tron disc separator that reliably separates the finest oil particles from the blow-by stream.
