François Ducourant

François has 30 years’ professional experience in electric actuators and 10 years’ experience in off-road mobile machinery applications. He joined SKF in 1990 after completing his MBA from EDHEC business school and his Dipl. engineer from ENIM in France with a 2nd-level master’s degree. He worked at SKF Motion Technology then at Ewellix in France, Switzerland and China. He managed the development of a series of actuators for medical and mobile machinery and application projects with global leaders.

Through a few examples of equipment for industries like material handling and access, we will review the benefit of electromechanical actuators versus hydraulic systems used for the lift functions on BEVs but also valid for vehicles with IEC and PTO generators.
