Philipp Tielmann

Philipp has an educational backround in mechanical engineering and business administration (MSc/Dipl. Wirsch.-Ing.) with studies at TU Darmstadt and Politecnico Torino. His first task at Jungheinrich was to set up product management and quality coordination for the company's North American forklift truck range at Jungheinrich’s US subsidiary in Houston, Texas. As a passionate advocate of e-mobility in all sectors, he joined the team at Jungheinrich Powertrain Solutions in 2016 as a sales engineer. In 2019 Philipp took over as the director of the business unit, which includes application engineering, sales, business development and product management.

Electrification of NRMM – the benefits of using forklift components

The presentation is based on the experience gained from a large number of customer projects and series vehicles of an electrification pioneer and provides a well-founded overview of the possible applications of forklift components in NRMM machines. The technical and legal requirements (e.g. for telescopic handlers and wheel loaders) will be discussed and the resulting advantages for NRMM electrification projects with forklift components will be demonstrated. We will provide an overview of our project experience at the component level and also present the integration system at the machine level, which has proved to be the most adaptable and successful in NRMM electrification projects.
