The Finnish Fortaco Group will showcase its expertise in cabin design, R&D and vehicle assembly by presenting its solution for powering the air-conditioning system while the engine is turned off.
In many operations like construction sites or container terminal operations, solar power is abundant. Tests performed by Fortaco show that the available surface on large machinery would be enough to cool the cabin, almost for free. The other area the company has been researching is dust ingress and removal. Cabin filters cannot keep dust from entering when the door is opened, so Fortaco has been researching how the air-conditioning system can be used to remove dust.
